Worried about her husband being allergic to dust, Nat, a recently-dead woman, returns as a ghost possessing a vacuum cleaner to clean the house and protect her family from other vengeful ghosts in the house. To become a useful ghost, she needs to get rid of the useless ones.

March is mourning his wife Nat who has recently passed away due to dust pollution. He discovers her spirit has returned by possessing a vacuum cleaner. Being disturbed by a ghost that appeared after a worker’s death shut down their factory, his family reject the unconventional human-ghost relationship.

Trying to convince them of their love, Nat offers to cleanse the factory. To become a useful ghost, she must first get rid of the useless ones.

Regie

Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke is a filmmaker of Teo- chew-Hainanese descent, who grew up and lives in Bangkok. He studied film at Chulalongkorn University before gaining international recognition with his short RED ANINSRI; OR, TIPTOEING ON THE STILL TREMBLING BERLIN WALL which won the Junior Jury award at Locarno 2020. The Film was screened at numerous festivals including Torino and Glasgow FF. His debut feature A USEFUL GHOST premiered at Cannes' Semaine de la Critique in 2025. Currently he works fulltime as a scriptwriter for the studio, writing commercial features and television series. Apart from writing he also teaches film theory and scriptwriting at universities and works as a film critic.
